Housing Infrastructure Fund

The Housing Infrastructure Fund (the fund) is a $1 billion fund that provides 10-year interest-free loans to selected councils in high-growth areas so they could bring forward the development of transport and water infrastructure required for new housing — especially where financing issues were holding up development. For some loans, the funding is split between a loan directly to the council, and a loan to the National Land Transport Fund (NLTF).
